“Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the festival. They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request. ‘Sir,’ they said, ‘we would like to see Jesus.’”

(John 12:20f)

It’s Easter. Even before that glorious morning, in amongst the press of the crowd, there were those drawn to Jesus, desperate to meet Him. “Some Greeks” came to Philip, who took them to Andrew: light-seekers met light-bearers. And together they met the Light of the World. Our eyes turn once again to the Cross and Jesus’ suffering. Our thoughts dwell once again on the Tomb and Jesus’ death. Our hearts long anew for the Dawn and Jesus’ resurrection. Light-seekers and light-bearers together, streaming out of darkness, bathed in the Light of the World. Whether you are a light-seeker or a light-bearer, I pray that this Easter you would meet the Jesus you seek.
