From January 2023 onwards – Membership of the Scottish Baptist College and our AGM
In previous years we’ve held our AGM at the Baptist Union of Scotland Council meeting and while we continue to support the Baptist Union of Scotland, we feel it is necessary to distinguish the business of the College from the business of the BUS since we are separate business entities. Therefore, from January 2023 we are changing the way we hold our AGM and therefore we are changing the way we contact you.
Our Articles of Association state that “members of the Scottish Baptist College shall consist of any church in membership of the Baptist Union of Scotland.”
As such it is our legal obligation to send you information regarding our Annual General Meeting and therefore we require to store and use your personal data to do so.
As a church you may decide not to be a member of the Scottish Baptist College. To do so our Articles of Association state:
“Any church which wants to withdraw from membership must give a notice of withdrawal to the College, signed by an appropriate office bearer of that body; the church will cease to be a member as from the time when the notice is received by the College.”
Until notice is given we will continue to hold your data associated with your office within the local church.
Change of role-holder details:
However, we know that office bearers change from time to time and in order that we keep our records up to date we ask that you would inform us of any changes – you can email us directly on ellie.bell@uws.ac.uk or use the form below. We will also contact you in advance of the AGM each year to check the details but you can use the form below at any point to inform us of changes.
