There’s two student intakes at SBC – our main one in September, but also one in late January. You can join us in January on our full degree programme but also for any of the individual modules that are being taught. In the coming term we have the following entry level modules:

Turning Points in Church History – a fast-paced introduction to the major events in Christian history taking in such figures as Constantine all the way to the Reformers and beyond. An excellent starting point for orientating yourself to why Christianity is shaped the way it is today. Delivered online via Zoom on Wednesday mornings (10am-12:30pm).

Christian Leadership – a vital class for anyone in or thinking about leadership in any capacity. It’s not simply a “how-to” but a depth-look at different models and values associated with leadership as well as the opportunity to reflect upon your own approach to leadership in light of your personality and character. Delivered online and on-campus: on-campus on Thursday mornings (10am-12:30pm) an online via Zoom on Thursday evenings (7:30-9:30pm).

For graduates or those interested in a module for CMD (Continuing Ministerial Development), we have a new Level 9 (3rd year) module called Theological Approaches to Contemporary Issues that considers different approaches to theology and how they impact Christian engagement with public issues such as politics and society. Delivered on-campus on Wednesday mornings 10:00am-12:30pm.

If you’re interested in modular study then you can fill out an online application form indicating the name of the module you hope to study.

You can also start a full-time or part-time course of study towards a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree. We would invite you to fill out an application form or email Graham on graham.meiklejohn@uws.ac.uk to begin a conversation about study. Term starts in late January therefore applications / enquiries should be submitted before the end of January (by Friday 28th January 2022 at the latest).
