Over the past year we’ve been working on something significant – we’ve been putting together plans to launch a Master of Theology (MTh) programme with the title MTh in Christian Mission and Ministry. We feel this will be an important addition to our range of degrees, as well as an important addition to the offering of postgraduate theology qualifications across Scotland. Our MTh is specifically designed for those in mission/ministry or transitioning into ministry roles by building and developing skills and learning through reflective practice and deep theological insight.
With an upcoming approval event, all being well, by the end of June 2026 we’ll be in a position to fully launch the programme with a timeline to beginning the programme in September 2026. Therefore, we want to invite you an exploration and launch event for the MTh programme on-campus and online on Thursday June 25th. This will be a day for church leaders, prospective students, and friends/interested parties to hear a little more behind the vision of the MTh programme, the initial modules on offer, and an opportunity to explore the campus and resources. We’ll also be able to take questions and hold discussions with those hoping to begin studying on the very first MTh programme at SBC!
We’ll deliver the informational session using a hybrid method to allow those at distance to participate, but we’ll also provide coffee, exploring the campus, and lunch for those who can come to Paisley and be with us on-campus.
