Join us for a free seminar led by rector of the Baptist Seminary in Amsterdam, Dr Hans Riphagen. It promises to be a stimulating workshop with some great practical advice for churches wanting to engage with their local communities. We’d love you to join us on-campus for a video link-up with Hans and the opportunity for discussion with students, staff, and visitors, but you can also join us directly on Zoom to listen in on what Hans is sharing.

Is ‘church-in-the-neighbourhood’ a promising direction for missional church renewal or is it just another trend that will fade away? This seminar stems from a research project, which explores the possibilities of new forms of church in a suburban neighbourhood in Utrecht.

During the workshop Hans Riphagen will:

• introduce his research, and also help us reflect about our own situatedness in the place where we live
• present the findings of his research, including how individual Christians as well as Christian communities relate to suburban neighbourhoods; and, what does this mean for contextual community formation
• provide opportunities for us to discuss the consequences of this research for our own missional practice

To register your interest and receive information about joining us on-campus in Paisley or online via Zoom, then please email Graham on graham.meiklejohn@uws.ac.uk
