SUMMARY:Commissioning Service 2026
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Thursday April 30th when we will be holding our end of year Commissioning Service\, celebrating all that has happened over the past academic year and commissioning the students that will be leaving us over the summer onto their next chapter. After our service\, you are invited to join us for lunch and extend the time of celebration. \nThe venue is Paisley Baptist Church which is located on Lady Lane in Paisley. We will be starting as close to 1pm as possible\, after we finish classes\, though don’t be surprised if it is closer to 1:15pm! The service should finish by 2/2:15pm and lunch is a relaxed time afterwards so come and go as you please at this point! \nThe venue is about 10-15min walk away from both Paisley Canal Street and Gilmour Street train stations. There is on-street parking around Paisley Baptist but there is a charge and payment is via the Ringo app. There is a multi-storey car park about a 5-10min walk away on Storie Street (again charges apply). \nFor catering and planning purposes it would be helpful if you could register here and let us know you are coming along! \nAny further questions\, please email Ellie Bell on ellie.bell@uws.ac.uk

DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday May 26th we’re hosting an Online Open Evening for anyone thinking of study with us in September 2026. It will be a short informational session with an opportunity to explore what it’s like to study at SBC and ask questions about funding\, classes\, timetables and more! \nWhether you’re thinking about online or on-campus study; whether full-time\, part-time\, or modules; and whether you are interested in undergraduate or postgraduate study\, come along and join us at the Open Evening. SUMMARY:Masters Exploration and Launch Day
DESCRIPTION:Over the past year we’ve been working on something significant – we’ve been putting together plans to launch a Master of Theology (MTh) programme with the title MTh in Christian Mission and Ministry. We feel this will be an important addition to our range of degrees\, as well as an important addition to the offering of postgraduate theology qualifications across Scotland. Our MTh is specifically designed for those in mission/ministry or transitioning into ministry roles by building and developing skills and learning through reflective practice and deep theological insight. \nWith an upcoming approval event\, all being well\, by the end of June 2026 we’ll be in a position to fully launch the programme with a timeline to beginning the programme in September 2026. Therefore\, we want to invite you an exploration and launch event for the MTh programme on-campus and online on Thursday June 25th. This will be a day for church leaders\, prospective students\, and friends/interested parties to hear a little more behind the vision of the MTh programme\, the initial modules on offer\, and an opportunity to explore the campus and resources. SUMMARY:Summer Information Days
DESCRIPTION:As we approach our application deadline of August 31st\, we realise there can be some last minute interest in studying and with that often comes questions! So in the last couple of weeks before the application deadline we’re holding some online information days which will give prospective students the opportunity to ask questions about the course\, receive information about SAAS funding\, talk about timetables and pragmatics\, as well as be guided through the application process. When you’re considering studying\, you don’t want to wait around for answers\, you want a quick response to help you move on with the process. These informal informational sessions will help you do just that so whether you’ve already submitted an application and just want to confirm timetables or whether you’re still thinking about studying but want a bit more information\, these sessions will help you move through the process quickly. \nWe’re running two sessions – one in the afternoon of Friday 21st August starting at 2:30pm and another on Thursday 27th August at 11am – they will last between 1 hour and 1.5 hours. \nTo register for one of these sessions\, please complete this jotform.
