Rev. Dr Carol Campbell

Chaplain / Lecturer in Pastoral Care and Chaplaincy

Carol’s professional background began as a Registered Nurse working initially in an Intensive Care Unit and then in Care of the Elderly. She gained a Certificate in Counselling and worked as a Volunteer Counsellor dealing with issues, among others, of bereavement, relationship and addiction.

Carol studied Theology and Pastoral Studies at the Scottish Baptist College, gaining a first class honours degree. Postgraduate study led to the successful completion of a PhD in Divinity awarded by the University of Aberdeen. She has recently gained a Diploma in Pastoral Supervision.

Carol has worked for the NHS for over 20 years, the last 10 years being as healthcare chaplain. She is currently Lead Chaplain for the Clyde Sector of Greater Glasgow and Clyde health board.

Carol has served in different aspects of church life for over 30 years. She is married to Ian and has two children. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, walking and being near to the mountains and lochs.
