Join us at SBC for our regular College Community Seminars as a specialist in the field gives a theological insight into their specific area of interest. On Wednesday 12th October between 1:30pm and 3pm, Eddie Hester from Awana will be sharing on the ministry of Awana and how it relates to issues of evangelism to children. This seminar will no doubt be a beneficial seminar to help equip those who find themselves leading churches or involved in any capacity of children’s ministry.
Eddie joined the Awana Ministry full time in 2001 as the Regional Ministry Director for Central Europe. In 2002 Western Europe was added to his oversight. Eddie’s region consists of clubs in 20 countries in addition to European military bases in eight. Under Eddie’s leadership the Awana Leader-Based Strategy ministry model was introduced in Romania, Moldova and Albania. For more on Eddie read his profile on the Awana website.
“Awana is a global, nonprofit ministry with fully integrated evangelism and long-term discipleship programs for ages 2 to 18 that actively involves parents and church leaders. Each week, more than 2 million children and youth, 330,000 volunteers and 260 field staff take part in Awana in 30,000 churches around the world. Offered through local churches, Awana reaches kids where they’re at and walks alongside them in their faith journey.” (https://www.awana.org/about/history)
These seminars are open to alumni, friends, and supporters of the College, as well as the wider public who feel they would benefit from engaging with the topic. For further information please contact Graham Meiklejohn on firstname.lastname@example.org
