The Scottish Baptist College brings together, in a very special and even unique way, disciple formation and dedicated education. The present staff are highly committed Christian leaders, each hugely experienced and with a proven track record in church leadership, preaching and the care and formation of Christian disciples.
In addition, they are very well qualified theologians and educationalists, helping people both how to think more and in guiding folk in the path of Jesus Christ. Many, including myself, greatly value and continue to benefit from their expertise, wisdom and vision.
I wholeheartedly commend the Scottish Baptist College to all who are looking to learn and develop, whether simply in exploring aspects of the faith, journeying towards accreditation as Christian ministers recognised by our Union, or in undertaking further education in a way that will both challenge and mature you both as a person and a disciple of Jesus Christ.

As a consequence of studying the various subjects, I have found myself reflecting over my understanding of my faith and beliefs. Things I had just accepted or assumed have been shored up by learning or rethought… SBC expanded my academic knowledge base and my theology as I worked through what and why I believe what I do, in an environment where I was given space to be me.

Just a small note of thanks for the care and teaching received whist studying with you this past term. Thank you for allowing me to be part of the lectures with your full time students.
The twelve weeks attending reignited a passion for learning and study with each week leaving with new thoughts, challenges and resources to apply directly in my ministry situations. The opportunity for discussion and interacting as a group brought a variety of viewpoints and debate which I appreciated greatly. Another key area to mention which I appreciated was the student and staff led devotions. Very powerful to be in the middle of a university campus and have the freedom to worship, pray and engage with God.

I have just completed my BD studies. What I will remember most is the diversity of our classroom and the richness of our discussion, how we all wrestled with theological questions, encouraged one another and journeyed together. Our time at the College has transformed us, and helped us discern things and answer our call.
I think Christianity in this postmodern world needs courageous, creative, compassionate leaders, men and women who will be both bearers of traditions and founders of new communities where what we do – our worship, teaching and mission – will not be disconnected from who we are
